The musical chronicle over 76 years
An innovative synthesis of expert curation,
community intelligence and
Web3 technology –
putting the irreplaceable value of human‑validated cultural significance back at the center.
From thousands to one – the journey through the TimeLoop-25 selection process
The “Council of 300” – a group of 300 music experts – nominates two tracks each for every one of the 76 yearly playlists.
Each nominated track is assigned to one of 25 curated genres.
Through a structured distribution of genre responsibility within the Council, all 25 genres are guaranteed to be represented in every yearly playlist.
The “30K-Shark-Tribe” votes with up/down voting on all 600 nominated tracks. This creates a transparent community ranking of the yearly playlist.
From the community ranking, the two best‑rated tracks per genre are selected.
This produces exactly 50 finalists with guaranteed stylistic breadth:
An AI system analyses the 50 finalists and creates a digital fingerprint of each track.
From the 50 finalists of a year (25 genres × 2 tracks) the Council shapes two complementary yearly editions: one “twin pair” per genre – one track in the sun, one in the moon.
“600 titles per year – 76 times.
Curated, verified and carved in stone.”

Why sun & moon?
Sun and moon determine the real yearly cycle of the Earth – and with it the symbolic pulse of cultural development. With 25 genres × 2 tracks per year, a “twin pair” emerges per genre:
one track in the SunLoop (sun), one track in the MoonLoop (moon).
This creates a double narrative – visible surface and hidden deep layer – genre by genre.
- SunLoop -
The bright, front-facing, culturally visible side of the year.
• Shows the tracks that represent their genre outwardly in that year (community favourites, peak moments, broad awareness).
• Per genre, the more visible / accessible track ends up in the SunLoop.
• The SunLoop forms the “official” story of a year across all 25 genres.
- MoonLoop -
The hidden, pulsating deep layer of the year.
• Shows the tracks that embody scenes, subcultures and experiments and shape the genre from within.
• Per genre, the deeper / more niche track ends up in the MoonLoop.
• The MoonLoop forms the “unofficial” but deeper story of a year.
Every year (retrospectively):
• Council seeds 600 titles (25 genres, 300 curators)
• 30K-Shark-Tribe votes globally → community ranking
• per genre the 2 best‑rated tracks are chosen → 50 finalists
• new SunLoop & MoonLoop edition with 25 tracks each
• Extension of the existing Signature-TimeLoops
Yearly extension:
• 50 new titles × 25 years = 1,250 additional curated tracks
→ A living, growing saga with stable artist participation and clearly traceable curation
