BlockShark’s TimeLoop-25 curates YouTube year-by-year playlists (1950–2025), which are populated by the 300 Council members and verified via Discogs. The swarm (30,000 Soulbound holders) then rates the tracks; the top songs are incorporated into DJ mixes that allow musical time travel back to the year of origin of the individual genres/styles and become part of the extraordinary **archive of collective sound**.

1. What is TimeLoop-25?
TimeLoop-25 is a concept by Blockshark where sound becomes a chronicle. The project curates exclusive, legally compliant, NFT-gated time-travel mixes spanning the period from 1950 to 2025. What makes it unique is that each mix begins in the current year and travels backward to the year the respective genre or style originated. From there, the musical journey proceeds chronologically forward again to the current year, thus completing the ‘time loop’. Since a community from 25 different countries is responsible for the creation of this extraordinary mix series, TimeLoop-25 is referred to as the “Soundtrack of the DAO“.
2. How does the musical curation and selection process work?
First, the 300 Council members create year-by-year YouTube playlists (a total of 76 playlists covering 1950–2025). These tracks are verified via Discogs. Then, the collective (30,000 Soulbound holders) rates the tracks. The top songs are then incorporated into the production of the DJ mixes with DJ.Studio.

3. What roles do the community members (Council & Tribe) have?
The Council of 300 is responsible for governance and curation, and its 150-to-150 male and female members ensure a balanced body. The Shark Tribe (30K) is responsible for voting and identity. The Tribe conducts the up/down voting, with each Soulbound Token (SBT) granting one vote.
4. How are the main NFTs structured and what do they cost?
There are two main SoulBoundTokens: The Council of 300 (SBT 150 Female / 150 Male) costs 0.2 ETH. The Shark Tribe 30K (SBT) costs 0.045 ETH. Both grant lifetime access.
5. Are there tradable NFTs and what do they contain?
Yes, every SBT holder receives an airdrop of two tradable lifetime access NFTs, which serve as NFT gates for platform access. While these tradable NFTs are minted as an open edition, aside from this airdrop and the free mint for artists, labels, and rights holders (5 NFTs each), they are otherwise only used as payment for DJs and mix creators, as well as a limited number for promotional purposes. This intentionally keeps lifetime access scarce, which is why additional time passes (24h, 48h, 168h, 720h) are offered as NFT gates for access and additional revenue.
6. What advantages does TimeLoop-25 offer artists and labels?
Artists, labels, and rights holders receive fair pay splits, new reach, and are presented in a curated context instead of in the algorithm noise. They also receive five free mints each.
7. How are the proceeds from secondary sales distributed?
Secondary sales (tradable lifetime NFTs) are subject to a 50% royalty enforcement fee. This royalty is broken down as follows: 25% for artists, labels, and rights holders, 10% for DAO Core Treasury, 10% as Council Revenue (participation fee) and 5% for BlockShark Ops.
8. What blockchain technology is TimeLoop-25 based on?
The project uses Ethereum L2 (Base/Arbitrum/Polygon). It employs SBTs according to EIP-5192/EIP-4973 and royalties according to ERC-2981.
9. How is the platform authorized and protected?
Access (gate & authentication) is via SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum) and Token-Gate. The rule is: 1 wallet = 1 vote. The streaming platform is NFT-gated.
10. Where is the DAO legally and operationally located?
The DAO Wrapper (association/cooperative) is based in Switzerland (CH). However, operations and production take place in El Salvador.
11. What does licensing mean for the project?
Licensing is essential, as additional licenses/opt-ins are required for streaming rights. This includes direct deals (majors/indies/Merlin) as well as publishers/PROs. Model licenses and participation opt-ins must be finalized with specialized law firms.
12. When does the project start according to the roadmap?
Stage 1 (Q1 2026) includes the DAO wrapper and the TimeLoop pilot (2 x 5 vintages). The Council Mint and the Tribe Pre-Mint (10k) are planned for Stage 2 (Q2 2026). The first rights payouts are scheduled for Stage 3 (Q3 2026).
